Fellowship: Unity With Christians and God
In today's religious world there are attempts to have unity with different religious bodies. Some may wish for there to be unity or fellowship between Jews, Christians, and Muslims. That we think of ourselves as all following the same God, that we are all children of God, that we should treat one another the same regardless of our religious differences, and more. The problem with this is that there is no indication that we, as Christians, are to have unity with those who are outside the Body of Christ. If we are a Christian, then we need to recognize that there is a separation between ourselves and the rest of the world. Today we will examine the meaning of fellowship and how it is used in the New Testament. During this study, keep in mind that the word translated as fellowship is also variously rendered as communicate, communication, communion, and distribution.
