April Verse of the Month- Acts 9:31

Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee, and Samaria experienced peace and thus was strengthened. Living in the fear of the Lord and in the ENCOURAGEMENT of the Holy Spirit, the church increased in numbers.

Winter Weather Plan: Message from the Elders

1/12/2024

Dear Church-

We want to communicate our 2024 "Bad Weather Plans" with you all. As you probably know the forecast is calling for harsh weather and rough driving conditions through the weekend.

We want to encourage you to be safe & cautious this weekend, and also during the winter months ahead.

  • We are planning on opening the building for services this Sunday for those who can make it safely...Those who have concerns can join "Go To" online via the link found on our church website.
  • This week we are cancelling all morning Bible Classes and the Afternoon Ladies Class as well.
  • We will maintain our "Go To" account this winter to use if there is snow or ice on Sunday's.

Be Safe and God Bless

Ron & Chuck

December "Connected to the GOSPEL"

December – Connected to the Gospel

• 12/3 – Romans 1:16-17

• 12/10 - 1 Corinthians 15:1-4

• 12/17 – Mark 16:14-16

• 12/24 – Luke 2:8-11

• 12/31 – Acts 8:30-39

So Philip ran to him and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet and asked, “Do you understand what you are reading?” And he said, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” And he invited Philip to come up and sit with him. Now the passage of the Scripture that he was reading was this:

“Like a sheep he was led to the slaughter
and like a lamb before its shearer is silent,
so he opens not his mouth.
In his humiliation justice was denied him.
    Who can describe his generation?
For his life is taken away from the earth.”

And the eunuch said to Philip, “About whom, I ask you, does the prophet say this, about himself or about someone else?” Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning with this Scripture he told him the good news about Jesus. And as they were going along the road they came to some water, and the eunuch said, “See, here is water! What prevents me from being baptized?” And he commanded the chariot to stop, and they both went down into the water, Philip and the eunuch, and he baptized him. And when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord carried Philip away, and the eunuch saw him no more, and went on his way rejoicing.

Website Updates

To keep our public and member website up to date has been incredibly challenging the past 18 months as times, services, classes, etc. have changed MANY times (at short notice on occasion). There are many tabs, links, widgets, pages, calendars and ...It is easy to miss one little little corner of the site and end up providing incorrect information.  That being said, today, it all should be accurate.  If you see something that needs an adjustment let Kathy or Justin Nix know and we will do our best to get it fixed!

On another note: keeping the website relevant, engaging, interesting, and helpful for members AND for those who are looking for God is extremely important as well...changes, update ideas, and plans have been simmering (on the back burner) for a number of months.  We will get to it, Lord Willing, SOON.
